From roots to rafters we are working to create economic opportunities and build a workforce of community members and local training partners along the Mississippi [Misi-ziibi, Great River] in Northern Minnesota from Bemidji through the Leech Lake Reservation to Grand Rapids. Our initiative looks to honor the balance between where we come from and what we build next, weaving together both tradition & opportunity to transform our region.
Get Started
One of the best parts about joining the trades is that there are a few ways you can get trained in the trades. One pathway is through training programs at our regional technical or community colleges or private universities. Another pathway is through an Apprenticeship with over 2,000 hours of on-the-job training and 144 hours of related classroom instruction, which gives plenty of time and opportunity to develop your skills.
